Paid consultations are a great way to meet with an attorney to go over the facts of your case, what you’re looking for, and what they can do for you. There are a variety of ways to go about consultations, and even more ways to hire an attorney for representation!
Legal Strategy Calls
This a second consultation with one of our experienced family law attorneys. The consultation is $200 for 30 minutes, or $400 for an hour. During this call, the attorney can discuss your case, answer your questions, and provide legal information and guidance.
Remember, at this point, you haven’t hired us as your attorney. However, this is a great way to see if we are a good fit for you. Paid consultations allow both the potential client and the attorney to learn a bit more about each other.
Limited Scope Representation
With this representation type, our office assists you “behind-the-scenes”. We will not appear in Court with you or converse with the opposing party. However we are available to provide advice and consulting, and review/explain documents. We are here to answer your questions, and support you as you handle your own family law case- we can be as involved as you want us to be, but the cost is usually much cheaper overall because you’re doing much of the work yourself. Our hourly rates are $350 for attorney, $185 for paralegal, and $75 for admin.
Limited score representation is a great choice if you don’t need an attorney to be extremely involved in your case, but you still want some assistance.
Full Scope Representation
This is the traditional representation type, where we would handle appearing in court, communication with the opposing party, drafting motions, and more. After you sign our Engagement Letter and submit payment for the retainer, we are typically up and running on your case within 24 hours. Our hourly rates are $350 for attorney, $185 for paralegal, and $75 for admin.
